Flight Physics is responsible for the design and characterization of all military aircraft programs throughout their product lifecycle. We utilize numerical simulations and testing to understand aircraft behavior and to generate aircraft-representative data for flight performance, aerodynamics, structural dynamics, mass properties, acoustics, and vibration.

Responsibilities

• Support and develop technologies, processes, methods, and tools within Flight Physics in collaboration with technical domains
• Implement machine learning and AI solutions, including model and algorithm development, training, validation, and optimization
• Develop integrated solutions to support end-to-end digitalization of aircraft design processes
• Provide technical support throughout the lifecycle of processes, methods, and tools, from proof-of-concept to industrialization
• Document processes and transfer knowledge to stakeholders
• Innovate and challenge existing approaches to solve problems holistically in flight physics

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience in programming and data science in engineering contexts
• Proficiency in Python and C++, with knowledge of data science frameworks
• Experience with continuous integration, validation environments, and Git
• Experience in machine learning for engineering applications is a plus
• Additional skills in front-end development, databases, CFD, FEM, HPC, and Linux administration are advantageous
• Motivation to grow within a digitalization and technology team
