Zusammenfassung

AVILUS is developing a new class of unmanned aircraft with platforms spanning medical evacuation to logistics and surveillance. You will design and implement vehicle-specific flight control software, and drive the integration of control theory, flight dynamics, and model-based design across MiL/SiL/HiL testing environments.

The role requires a Master’s degree in engineering, hands-on flight control experience, and security clearance (Ü2-Sabotageschutz).

Qualifikationen

• Master-level or in-study degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
• Proven practical flight control experience.
• Knowledge: control theory, flight control, eVTOL dynamics, model-based design.
• Mandatory tool knowledge: MATLAB/Simulink, C, MS Office.
• Security clearance approval (Ü2-Sabotageschutz) required.

• Implementation of model-based flight control software functions
• Automatic code generation and development of embedded software for aircraft deployment
• Continuous integration, verification, and reporting within CI pipelines
• Full system integration and deployment on simulation platforms (MiL/SiL/HiL)
• Functional and integration testing on simulators in close collaboration with Simulation, Test&Verification, and Flight Operations teams
• Continuous activity tracking and reporting to relevant panels

Description

Do you want to work on a New Class of Unmanned Aircraft? Our product universe spans three different platforms with maximum take-off weights of up to 1000 kg and characteristic dimensions of 8 m: The hexacopter Grille for medical evacuation, the multi-role rotorcraft Wespe for logistics and support operations, as well as the fixed-wing drone Bussard for surveillance and intelligence missions. All systems are powered by RasCore, our highly redundant, military-grade avionics system for safe operations within EASA’s Specific Category. Three aircraft, one mission: to bridge the gap between small UAVs and traditional manned systems.

Do you want to experience your vision coming to life? Your controller is not only a prototype function – it will actually be flying. Within a short time, after design, implementation, as well as MiL- and HiL-testing, your flight control software is handed over to the flight operations team, where you will see how your lines of code come alive on a real aircraft and govern the fate of our rescue mission.

• Degree: Completed or ongoing studies (Master) in the domain of mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or comparable programs
• Experience: Evidence of practical flight control experience
• Method Knowledge: Control theory, flight control, flight dynamics of eVTOLs, model-based design
• Tool Knowledge (mandatory): MATLAB/Simulink, C, Microsoft Office
• Required for employment: Security clearance (Ü2-Sabotageschutz) approval (note: relationships in countries according to § 13 para. 1 no. 17 SÜG may result in a negative assessment)
