UAV/ UAS to Save Lives

Location: Munich, Germany

Salary 75,000 Euros

Job Overview:

FLYTE are partnered with a forward-thinking company near Munich, Germany, specializing in the development of UAVs for critical applications, operating in domains such as delivery, surveillance, and medevac where traditional aircraft fall short.

This rapidly expanding organisation recently unveiled 3 new next generation UAVs and patented flight control, monitoring, navigation and communication systems securing long term lucrative contracts with Defence and EMS partners.

We’re seeking a high-profile Flight Control Engineer to play a key role in the design, implementation and validation of aircraft models and control algorithms. Utilising your skills in control theory, flight control, flight dynamics and MBSE, your flight control software is handed over to the flight operations team, where you will see how your lines of code come alive on a real aircraft and govern the fate of a rescue mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, model, and simulate flight control functions using MATLAB/Simulink and model-based design methodologies.
  • Translate functional requirements into robust control algorithms governing aircraft stability, navigation, and responsiveness.
  • Generate efficient, reliable embedded C code from your Simulink models.
  • Integrate flight control software into avionics hardware and mission systems.
  • Lead MiL (Model-in-the-Loop) and HiL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing processes to validate control functions.
  • Participate in Flight Test and Trials
  • Troubleshoot real-time performance issues and support live flight operations during integration campaigns.

Why Apply?

This is an incredible opportunity to join a team of specialists pushing the boundaries of autonomous rescue technology. Your contributions will play a direct role in life-saving missions across some of the world’s most challenging environments.

If you're ready to help revolutionize autonomous rescue systems, submit your up-to-date CV for a confidential conversation with a member of our FLYTE team.
