We are looking for a Financial Accountant (m / f / d) to join our Eavor GmbH team in Düsseldorf.

Some of what you'll do:

• Work as part of a team in the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and German GAAP.
• Own working papers, customize system reports, create journal entries, and perform account analysis for key financial statement line items.
• Support with the implementation of the new ERP system NetSuite and the new AP system Yokoy.
• Support with the introduction of the previously outsourced German GAAP accounting into the new ERP system.
• Support in the processing of ad hoc requests for financial reports.
• Assist with transaction analysis and contract reviews in accordance with IFRS and German GAAP.
• Participate in the development of accounting policies and the balance sheet valuation of current business transactions.
• Support in the development and optimization of accounting processes and internal controls over financial reporting in a young, fast-growing company.
• Direct reporting to the accounting team leader in Düsseldorf and close cooperation with the finance team in the head office in Calgary (CA).
• Support in the cooperation with the auditors.

Some of what you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent technical training.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of auditing (preferably with the Big 4; 1-2 years of industry experience would be considered an asset).
• Good knowledge of accounting according to German GAAP and IFRS.
• Very good understanding of figures and quick grasp of interrelationships.
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
• Conscientious, structured, and results-oriented way of working.
• Strong ability to manage and prioritize projects and tasks effectively.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team, and enjoy working in an international environment.
