This position can be filled using a hybrid approach, with the option to work in our Berlin or Hamburg office for three days per week.

What You Will Do

1. Own the entire accounts payable process for our German entities, and support other international entities when needed
2. Book various business transactions (AP, GL, Intercompany) and prepare/execute payments
3. Book cash/bank reconciliations
4. Assist with cash planning procedures
5. Ensure account reconciliations are completed on time and open items are cleared in a timely manner, especially with the monthly reporting requests
6. Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in accordance with IFRS (and HGB)
7. Participate in the continuous improvement of the Group’s internal financial processes, reporting, and control system
8. Support with local statutory audit and tax filing preparations and submissions in accordance with German laws
9. Interact with other internal stakeholders in accounting matters as needed

What You Will Bring

1. Completed vocational training or university degree with a focus on Finance and Accounting
2. Minimum 4 years of work experience in Accounting
3. Prior work experience with an ERP system (we work in Oracle NetSuite), MS Office and Excel
4. Full business proficiency in both English and German
5. Knowledge of IFRS is a must-have, HGB (German GAAP) is highly desirable
6. We welcome an accurate, autonomous, and structured work ethic
