Your Role :

As Finance Director, you will take full responsibility for building and strategically developing the finance function in a dynamic, private equity-driven growth environment. You will lead the transformation from a basic accounting setup to a high-performing, KPI-driven management function – with significant creative freedom and direct impact. The role offers a unique combination of a family-owned culture and entrepreneurial PE momentum.

Your Responsibilities :

• Design and implementation of monthly management reporting, including financial and operational KPIs
• Introduction of consolidation structures and rollout of suitable reporting and planning tools
• Digitalization and automation of core finance processes (billing, reporting, controlling)
• Implementation of liquidity management and treasury structures
• Support with post-merger integration of newly acquired entities
• Development and evaluation of business cases in close collaboration with executive management and the PE investor
• Structuring, expanding, and leading the finance team – with the opportunity to leave your own mark

Your Profile :

• Several years of experience in PE / M&A-driven growth environments, ideally within the mid-sized business sector
• Proven track record in building or transforming finance functions
• High level of initiative and strategic foresight – combined with hands-on operational capabilities
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and ERP systems (ideally MS Dynamics)
• Industry knowledge in energy, infrastructure, or technical services is a plus
• Experience in consolidation and controlling within medium-sized corporate groups
• Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken
• Willingness to be regularly on-site in Düsseldorf or Aachen (at least 3 days per week)
