Job Description

We have a great opportunity available for a Financial Controller (f/m/d) to make a difference at Kraft Heinz in Düsseldorf - Germany. As a member of the Finance team you will have a broad range of responsibilities controlling all aspects of corporate accounting and accounting operations, financial reporting, internal control and business partnering activities for Central Northern Europe (CNE) and Just Spices (JS). This position will be directly reporting to Europe & Pacific Developed Markets (EPDM) Financial Controller.

Your Responsibilities

  • Personnel responsibility for a team of 3 consisting of a Finance Manager, Controlling Specialist and MBC transactional processor
  • Lead the financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, and drive resolution of issues
  • Collaborate with Commercial Finance and Supply Chain Finance teams to understand reporting requirements and provide financial insights that drive business growth
  • Analyse and report on P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, and develop strategies to achieve regional goals and objectives
  • Oversee accounting operations, including procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and record-to-report processes, ensuring simplicity and efficiency
  • Facilitate risk assessment and mitigation, and drive Balance Sheet reviews to ensure integrity and transparency
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, and collaborate with auditing firms and tax function to implement quick and effective solutions
  • Implement and maintain internal controls, and drive process improvements that simplify and streamline operations

Your Qualifications

  • 8+ years of commercial and financial management experience in Big 4 and/or FMCG
  • Qualified accountant with solid knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, Tax principles, and Internal Controls
  • Strong ERP and BI tools experience
  • University degree and manufacturing industry experience (FMCG preferred)
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior key regional stakeholders
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
