Qualifikationen

Financial Analyst in Cost Controlling (m/f/d)

Your Team
Within CFO Global Performance Steering (GPS), the Cost Controlling team is the "point of entry" towards the business on all cost topics. Reporting to the Head of Global Cost Steering, the mandate of the Cost Steering team is to steer and challenge Allianz Commercial cost, productivity, and FTE development globally against overall aspiration level and facilitate results-oriented discussions at senior management level.

The Impact You Will Have
In this role, you will drive the cost reporting towards the Allianz Commercial Board of Management. The major tasks comprise a reliable monthly reporting, aligning results and messaging with other GPS and Finance functions. Furthermore, you will drive bringing across our results/messaging in major projects and presentations such as Productivity Dialogue and Planning Dialogue.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

  1. Analyze global cost / expenses:
  • Drive the global cost ratio reporting.
  • Engage with other GPS and Finance teams to align on results and messaging.
  • Respond reliably to ad-hoc requests and special cost analysis to support business decisions.
  • Perform lessons learned discussions and continuously improve & simplify the process.
  • Help predict future profitability of Allianz Commercial:
    • Perform forward looking analytics.
    • Support productivity dialogue presentation together with Productivity Management Team.
    • Support in yearly cost planning process and corresponding underlying analysis.
  • Drive initiatives and efficiently communicate:
    • Participate in projects and initiatives as required.
    • Engage in pro-active and effective exchange among all stakeholders.
    • Share knowledge & best practices, e.g. by holding trainings.

    What You'll Bring to the Role

    • First experience in areas related to controlling, financial modeling and analysis, preferably in the Insurance/ Financial Services industry.
    • Strong analytical skills incl. ability to handle and analyze large amount of data.
    • Excellent MS Office skills (in particular MS Excel) and proven experience in finance reporting/planning systems (e.g. SAP).
    • Strong educational background, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or qualified by experience in related discipline.
    • Embracing agile working and engage in constant learning, to adapt to internal and external customer needs.
    • Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively in English, to a variety of stakeholders including senior management.
    • Comfortable working both in a team and independently and enjoying working in an international and dynamic environment.
    • A willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role, and the broader organization is expected.
