About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to drive financial business partnering for the Category team across Northern Europe, covering Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Benelux, and the Nordics. This role will take ownership of category-focused financial insights and analysis, supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring strong control of marketing spend (BBI). The position plays a crucial role in driving business performance and delivering actionable financial recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Category Business Partnering: Serve as the key finance business partner to the Category team, providing financial expertise and strategic insights to drive decision-making across Northern Europe.
- Leadership in Category Finance: Take full ownership of category business partnering, delivering actionable analysis, and aligning financial strategies with business priorities.
- Marketing Spend Control: Lead BBI (marketing spend) controlling for all cluster markets, ensuring effective budget management, tracking, and ROI optimization.
- ROI Analysis: Evaluate ROI on marketing investments and category initiatives, providing recommendations to maximize spend effectiveness and commercial impact.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze category performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and delivering strategies to enhance future growth and profitability.
- Forecasting: Own the forecasting process for category financials and marketing spend, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with regional objectives.
- Planning & Budgeting: Support annual budgeting and periodic planning processes for category financials, delivering clear and actionable financial plans.
- Decision Support: Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis to assist in strategic decisions for category growth initiatives and marketing investments.
- Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to financial policies, frameworks, and controls while maintaining high standards in category reporting and spend management.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong, collaborative relationships with category leadership and marketing teams to align financial strategies with business goals.
About you
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Regional Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial and business dynamics across Northern Europe, with particular emphasis on DACH markets (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).
- Category Finance Experience: Proven expertise in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis, with experience supporting category teams and marketing spend management.
- Marketing Spend ROI: Ability to conduct detailed ROI analyses for marketing spend and provide recommendations to improve effectiveness and profitability.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to interpret complex financial data and deliver clear insights to support business decisions.
- Tools Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Excel, SAP, Power BI, or similar systems for financial modeling and reporting.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a strong ability to influence and collaborate with category and marketing teams.
