This transition offers new opportunities for the Illertissen site under LDC's stewardship.

The Illertissen facility is committed to continuing its legacy of innovation in food and health ingredients, driving new advancements, and delivering high-quality products to meet evolving consumer demands, contributing to LDC's growth strategies. The site’s dedicated team of approximately 280 employees is expected to join LDC and remain committed to delivering high-quality products, ensuring a promising future for the site and its stakeholders.

Job Description
Main Responsibilities

After a transition period, the Finance Manager will lead the local finance team. She/he is responsible for maintaining the accounting books in local GAAP and IFRS, ensuring compliance with related requirements (e.g., statutory audit issuance and filing, CIT provisions).

She/he manages all financial reporting requirements from the LDC Group. The Finance Manager oversees SBS activities and coordinates with other finance functions (Treasury, Tax, Credit Risk, Internal Control). She/he is the primary finance contact with the Food and Feed Solutions Platform, Legal, DT&A departments, and EMEA regional management. Locally, she/he supervises business and industrial controllers and supports the FP&A department for budgeting and planning.

Statutory and Tax Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with German statutory and fiscal regulations.
  • Prepare statutory reports and manage relationships with local auditors and authorities.
  • Liaise with the tax department to ensure full tax compliance and support during audits.
  • Ensure group reporting packages comply with IFRS, in collaboration with Group experts.
Monthly and Quarterly Closings
  • Own the local books: verify figures, perform reconciliations, and ensure reporting consistency.
  • Supervise and support SBS during closings.
  • Ensure proper intraco/interco settlements and reconciliations.
  • Meet EMEA deadlines.
  • Review receivables aging with Credit department.
Business and Controlling
  • Main contact for the Food and Feed Solutions platform.
  • Supervise business and industrial controllers.
  • Provide insights to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting for strategic decisions.
  • Coordinate with Treasury on cash and working capital management.
  • Liaise with other departments (Commercial, Operations, Logistics).
System and Control
  • Maintain systems for profitability and cost analysis.
  • Improve and automate processes, challenge current procedures.
  • Coordinate with DT&A and FPSO on system deployments and improvements.
  • Implement a high-quality control framework with Internal Control to ensure data integrity and fraud prevention.
Additional Tasks by SBS Teams
  • Monitor cash movements and reconcile with Treasury.
  • Supervise intercompany reconciliation.
  • Manage forex bookings.
  • Ensure timely and accurate deliverables (ICS uploads, reconciliations, packages).
  • Review aging balances.
Experience
  • Degree or relevant diploma in Finance, Audit, or Accounting.
  • 5-8 years’ experience in accounting, controlling, and reporting, with strong accounting knowledge.
  • Experience in an industrial environment preferred.
  • Audit experience is a plus.
  • Languages: Fluent in English and German.
Other Skills

  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in SAP Industry modules, SAP BI, and other IT applications.
