About the role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Finance Manager Channel to provide financial leadership and strategic support to the Sales team across Northern Europe, with a primary focus on Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH markets). This role will play a crucial part in driving customer profitability, supporting sales strategy initiatives, and owning key financial processes for the Channel area. Additionally, the Finance Manager Channel will lead the Channel Finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Partnering: Act as the main finance contact for the Sales teams in Northern Europe, providing strategic financial insights and guidance, particularly for the DACH markets.
- Customer Profitability: Lead analysis of customer and channel profitability, identifying drivers of performance, areas for improvement, and opportunities for growth.
- Sales Strategy Support: Work closely with Sales teams to support the development and execution of commercial strategies by integrating financial insights into the decision-making process.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the Channel Finance team, building a collaborative and high-performing culture while enhancing capabilities across the function.
- Forecasting Ownership: Oversee the forecasting process for the Channel area, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with broader business objectives.
- Month-End Process: Drive the month-end and year-end close processes for the Channel area, ensuring results are delivered accurately and on time.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze financial results to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas of improvement, delivering insights and corrective action plans where needed.
- Reporting & Modeling: Enhance financial models and create robust reporting tools, improving forecasting accuracy, visibility, and decision-making processes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders in the DACH region and across Northern Europe, providing financial advice and recommendations to influence business outcomes.
- Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with corporate finance policies and procedures, support audit requirements, and maintain a disciplined approach to balance sheet reviews.
About you
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Regional Expertise: A strong understanding of the financial and business landscape in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, alongside broader knowledge of Northern Europe markets.
- FP&A Experience: Proven expertise in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis, particularly in channel finance and sales-focused environments.
- Customer Profitability: Demonstrated experience in analyzing customer-level profitability, pricing, and margin optimization.
- Sales Strategy Support: Strong ability to partner with commercial teams, provide decision support, and collaborate on strategy formulation and execution.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical ability to interpret complex financial data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Tools Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Excel, SAP, Power BI, or similar financial tools and systems.
- Languages: Fluent in English (required); German language proficiency is advantageous.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and relationship-management skills, capable of influencing senior leaders and commercial teams.
- Leadership: Proven leadership experience, including managing, developing finance teams, and fostering a high-performing work environment.
