We are looking for a Finance Expert (m/f/d), based in Munich.

A team of business experts representing Finance towards IT and other areas. We define, drive, and deliver solutions and end-to-end optimized processes. We foster collaboration; people can rely on us and our expertise. Together with the team, you are shaping the future of Finance processes at Allianz Commercial.

The Impact You Will Have

Your role plays a key part in ensuring that finance requirements are understood and translated into successful technology solutions. You will ensure the provision of financial solutions and tools that are both effective and compliant.

In addition, you will work on business as usual (BAU) activities such as system adjustments or supporting closing processes, as well as significant project work like implementing solutions that support new financial standards and ensuring they are always fit for purpose. We operate in a fully agile environment, meaning you will collaborate closely with stakeholders in all Finance departments within Allianz Commercial, with internal and external service providers as well as Allianz Group functions.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Collaborate with CFO pillars, IT, and business stakeholders to define, drive, and deliver financial solutions and optimized processes.
• Ensure detailed testing and thorough documentation of financial solutions and processes.
• Analyze the Finance domain to identify business needs and anticipate current and future requirements.
• Support closing, planning, and payment processes by coordinating activities and resolving issues, while adhering to governance processes.
• Review audit findings related to financial applications and processes and implement mitigation steps in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Manage internal and external resources for Finance Solutions initiatives and provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.

What You'll Bring to the Role

• Proven experience and skills in Finance business areas, reinsurance, or insurance, ideally in P&C, with a focus on application and process development in the Financial Services Industry.
• Understanding of data modeling, operations, and technical workflows relevant to financial reporting and closing operations.
• Ability to work in Agile environments as a Proxy Product Owner or Business Expert, applying agile methods and managing complex stakeholder structures.
• Hands-on experience in SAP transformation programs, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, and customization, with 3-5 years knowledge of SAP FI or CO.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills to identify patterns, root causes, and effectively convey information to various audiences.
• A willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role, and the broader organization is expected.
• Fluent English skills, any other languages advantageous.
