Finance Business Partner

A global Japanese chemical corporation is looking for a Finance Business Partner.

The Finance Business Partner will work in the German office and be part of a virtual, international Finance team.

You will be responsible for supporting the local functions, especially the sales business with a focus on Finance Operations.

Responsible for supporting business decisions effectively with analyses and recommendations. This position is new and offers ambitious experts extensive creative opportunities and advancement to a higher level with more responsibility.

Understanding of Japanese culture and some Japanese skill will be advantageous.

TYPE : Permanent, full-time

WORKING HOURS : from Monday to Friday, 39 hours a week

SALARY : €60-70K depending on experience

Finance Business Partner RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Managing the processing of invoice payments
2. Support sales management as a sparring partner in the decision-making process
3. Co-development of business cases and evaluation of the potential of new sales initiatives
4. Monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable
5. Schedule a payment plan and settle payments
6. Handle all special or difficult transactions including special requests for payments, foreign cable transfers, etc.
7. Alert status of invoice payments (control of debtors ledger, send invoice reminders)
8. Prepare credit analysis
9. Responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process and accounting reporting, prepare financial statements
10. Support the European and local financial planning and forecasting processes as well as ad-hoc reporting and analysis
11. Responsible for ensuring data integrity and completeness for financial KPIs
12. Actively participate in regular business reviews with relevant stakeholders to support the business
13. Deliver ad-hoc analysis to drive management decisions

Finance Business Partner IDEAL CANDIDATE :

1. Ability to manage stakeholders and connections with virtual teams
2. Cross-functional professional experience in various positions in finance (corporate & operational finance)
3. Experience as a Finance Business Partner with a strong understanding of sales operations in a B2B environment in an international company
4. Good accounting knowledge (HGB, US GAAP & IFRS) as well as solid understanding of financial statements (balance sheet, P&L & cash flow)
5. Team player who enjoys working with others while having a self-starting personality
6. Secure use of all relevant standard IT systems
7. Being able to work independently and driving performance
8. Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization
9. Business fluent in German and English, Japanese would be an advantage
