Support the DACH Team as a Remote Field Trainer in Germany

We have an exciting opportunity to support our DACH Team as a Field Trainer based remotely in Germany. The role is integral in supporting SMO/MFP success within Subway by providing operational knowledge, training, coaching, and support to Franchisees and a Training store network. The Field Trainer will work closely with the Manager of the Franchise Performance team to identify, plan, and conduct training in restaurants within the market, supporting the current strategic EMEA plan, company initiatives, and regional needs.

The role involves bringing learning, training, and professional development to all learners in the market through various delivery methods including classroom, online facilitation, self-service e-learning, and more. Additionally, the Field Trainer will collaborate with MFPs to ensure all training for NRO new employees is completed to standard, preparing stores for operational excellence at opening.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  1. Certified Trainers & Training Restaurants: Certify and maintain local restaurants as 'Centers of Excellence' for franchisee training, visit training restaurants, evaluate operations, organize cascade calls, and coach in-restaurant trainers.
  2. Training Cascade: Support and collaborate in deploying core learning programs within the market, utilizing a network of certified trainers and restaurants, and collect feedback for continuous improvement.
  3. SMO Performance Support: Identify training needs, provide coaching, support restaurant teams, and monitor training effectiveness through feedback and performance analysis.
  4. NRO: Partner with SMO/MFP to execute the New Restaurant Opening program, ensuring training standards for new employees and operational readiness.
  5. Training of MFPs & HQ Employees: Ensure technical and soft skills development for SMO team, keeping curricula updated and relevant.
  6. Certified Managers: Collaborate with the EMEA L&D team to deploy Certified Manager training ensuring management support aligned with Subway strategies.
  7. Interpersonal Relations: Provide excellent customer service, develop strong relationships, and enhance the reputation of SUBWAY and the Learning & Development Department.
  8. Self-Development & Knowledge: Participate in training programs, travel as needed, and contribute subject matter expertise to learning initiatives.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to support technology, marketing, and operations initiatives through various training methods.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or 4 years of relevant experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience, preferably in QSR environment.
  • Strong organizational, presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with technology such as WebEx, Zoom, LMS, MS Office, SharePoint.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
