ROLE OVERVIEW

The Field Service Engineer plays a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of equipment and systems at customer locations. This position demands a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and strong customer service skills. Field Service Engineers are responsible for troubleshooting, installing, and repairing a variety of PayComplete equipment, ensuring optimal performance for clients.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform on-site installations, maintenance, and repairs on equipment to ensure they operate at peak performance.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues using analytical skills and specialised tools.
  • Provide technical support to customers, offering solutions and advice for efficient equipment use.
  • Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of service reports.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, product developments, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Develop and maintain lasting relationships with clients by demonstrating reliability and expertise.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar technical role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients effectively.
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight stays, as required.
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
