We are looking for a Service Technician (m / f / d) to strengthen our team.
Location : Germany (with service assignments across Europe)
Ideally, you are based in the Cologne / North Rhine-Westphalia area or in the Kassel / Hesse region to ensure easy access to our service centers.
Your Responsibilities
Proactive Maintenance
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans in collaboration with the Engineering Manager.
- Plan maintenance and repair tasks in coordination with local Operations teams.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of our systems – primarily in Germany and Austria.
- Document all completed tasks, maintenance activities, and spare parts used.
- Own the risk assessments and manage inventory for critical spare parts and tools.
Project Management Support
- Collaborate with Operations teams and the Engineering Manager on improvement ideas and process automation.
- Support the implementation of new machines and commissioning of new service centers.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in line with company policies and local laws.
- Promote high standards of safe working practices and pass them on to colleagues.
- Train team members on machine safety and day-to-day operational standards.
- Monitor hygiene, safety, PPE, and certification requirements at all our sites.
Training & Development of Operations Team
- Identify training and development needs within the team.
- Help evolve and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Contribute to early problem identification and improve overall efficiency.
- Attend trainings on new equipment and share knowledge across the team.
- Ensure cleaning and maintenance of equipment is carried out professionally.
- Support onboarding of new team members.
Your Profile
Education & Experience
- Preferably degree in electromechanics or a completed technical apprenticeship in mechanics, electrical engineering, or mechatronics.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a comparable technical role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems (e.g., pump and steam systems) and general construction methods.
Your Skills
- You enjoy improving processes and take a solution-oriented approach.
- You thrive in cross-functional teams and dynamic environments.
- You communicate clearly and solve problems in a structured and decisive way.
- You are fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
- You are willing to travel across Europe (up to 100% travel).
