Role Summary The Field Service Technician installs, commissions, monitors, troubleshoots, and repairs Flowserve’s pumps, seals, and other equipment across industries such as oil and gas, chemical, nuclear, coal, and wastewater industries, depending on the customer engagement. In this challenging position the Field Service Technician (FST) provides real-time technical support to our customers, and provides recommendations for repairs, upgrades, and replacement equipment. The FST is actively engaged in troubleshooting problems and implementing solutions onsite at nearby customer facilities. Our Field Service Technician team is the face of Flowserve, and we count on them to deliver a world-class service to our customers, creating a lasting competitive advantage for our products and services.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Installation, maintenance, repair, and commissioning of pumps and pump units.
• Independent troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem resolution.
• Occasional international assignments worldwide.
• Assignments are started directly from the employee’s home location.
• Possible on-call duty at weekends.
• Main areas of deployment include power plants, chemical plants, waterworks, and wastewater treatment facilities.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Successfully completed vocational training as an industrial mechanic or comparable qualification.
• Ideally, further qualification as a master craftsman or mechanical engineering technician.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in the trained profession.
• Knowledge of large pumps or rotating equipment.
• Very good German and good English language skills.
• Responsible and independent way of working.
• Willingness to travel extensively and flexibility.
• Valid driver’s license.
