Field Service Engineer – Scientific Equipment
US – Remote
Are you a scientist with strong hands-on skills and an interest in working directly with cutting-edge lab instrumentation? We’re looking for someone with a scientific background who’s electromechanically minded and ready to hit the road. This role supports advanced chemical detection systems across research labs, airports, and industrial sites with travel making up over 80% of your time.

Primary Responsibilities

• Travel extensively (80%+) across the U.S. to install, maintain, and troubleshoot mass spectrometry and gas chromatography systems
• Work directly with customers to resolve technical issues and provide training
• Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades on high-performance instruments
• Apply your practical problem-solving skills in real-world, field-based environments

Candidate Qualifications

• Background in Chemistry, Physics, or related scientific field
• Electromechanical mindset with excellent hands-on skills – comfortable using tools and working on complex systems
• Great communicator with a desire to learn and travel
