The HP Indigo Services organization supports our customers in installing, maintaining, and maximizing the use of their HP Indigo Digital Presses. Currently, in Germany, we have an open opportunity for a Field Service Engineer (m / f / d).

In this role, you will apply your expertise when the first level of technical support cannot immediately resolve an issue.

What does this role bring you?

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the primary contact for clients needing immediate onsite technical assistance. Your goal will be to keep your customers operational at all times by following up on remote diagnoses and resolving issues promptly. You will have opportunities to install, configure, maintain, and repair systems.

You will also contribute to maintenance activities to minimize machine failure risks. Working on highly complex machines, you will identify issues and provide optimal solutions. Staying updated with industry developments will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will work in a diverse environment with various nationalities, backgrounds, and age groups, being part of a dynamic, high-performance, and dedicated organization.

What do you need to bring to the role?

To succeed, you should have:

  • Experience as an HP Indigo Field Service Engineer or HP Indigo Operator on HP Indigo Labels & Packaging presses.
  • An intermediate or higher vocational technical background covering mechanics and electronics.
  • Good understanding of mechanics, PCs (Windows OS), basic networking skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, down to the electronics component level.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication in both English and German.
  • Experience with installation and breakdown of complex industrial products is a plus, but eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude are equally valued.

  • Takes ownership of cases and customers.
  • Values correct and timely case administration.
  • Can transfer knowledge effectively to customer operators.
  • Is eager to learn and develop.
  • Shows dedication, ownership, and a proactive attitude.
  • Is willing to travel within the Nordics, sometimes overnight, to serve the extended customer base.
  • Can interact at different organizational levels internally and externally.
  • Enjoys working in a diverse team environment.
  • Resides in the greater Hamburg area, Germany.
