Job Description

Our client is a publicly traded 3D printing company specializing in innovative, large-format additive manufacturing solutions, pushing the boundaries of 3D printing technology and empowering industries worldwide with cutting-edge solutions.

As a Field Sales Engineer, you will be an essential part of the sales team, driving the growth of 3D large-format printer solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and capture new business opportunities, establish strong relationships with potential clients, and drive the sales process from initial contact to closing deals. You will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence, promoting our innovative technology, and helping clients realize the transformative potential of 3D printing in their businesses.

Requirements:

  1. Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably in the printing industry or related fields.
  2. Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluency in German or French in addition to English.
  3. Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
  4. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
  5. Technical aptitude and ability to understand and explain complex technology.
  6. Readiness to work in a start-up environment in a fast-growing, dynamic company.
  7. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory (35-45%).
  8. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development: Identify and target potential customers in the assigned territory, including advertising agencies, print service providers, engineering design firms, manufacturing companies, R&D institutions, and related industries.
  2. Sales Cycle Management: Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and outreach to product presentations, negotiations, and contracts.
  3. Customer Relationship Building: Establish and maintain relationships with decision-makers, understand their needs, and present tailored solutions.
  4. Product Expertise: Develop in-depth understanding of 3D large format printer technology, its benefits, applications, and competitive advantages.
  5. Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and customer feedback to provide insights to marketing and product teams.
  6. Sales Targets: Meet and exceed sales goals, contributing to revenue growth and market expansion.
  7. Collaboration: Work with inside sales, technical support, and other departments for a seamless customer experience.
  8. Marketing Activities: Participate in trade shows, open houses, product demos, and other marketing events.
