Program Summary:
The Field Rep Development Program focuses on building the skills and knowledge that are necessary to partner with Cat Dealers to drive strategy alignment and customer loyalty.
1–3 year Developmental Program
Customized development plan to understand and learn Caterpillar machines, organizations, and values. The program is structured as follows:
Training (3 months)
Rotations (1-3 years)
Exit of the program - Role Progression
Field Rep Roles Available at the end of the program:
Industry Sales Representative: As an Industry Sales rep you will have responsibility for the support, marketing, and sales of machines or engines throughout the machine/engine sales cycle. You will counsel dealers to develop and increase their performance, provide guidance on existing and potential customer service issues and improvement measures within an industry as well as assist dealers on forecast, sales strategy planning and sales techniques. You will also support the rollout of new products, analyze and communicate marketplace and competitive activity and analyze product application, configuration and utilization. You will work with dealers to provide the best solution for individual customers as you assist dealers with business planning and promotional programs that increase sales while maximizing price realization.

Marine Division in Hamburg
Global Construction and Infrastructure (GCI) in Munich

This program is open to recent college graduates and professionals with industry experience and is designed to build the employee's skill sets within a specific industry; following completion of the program, you will move to either a field-based position supporting Cat Dealers and customers or to another long-term position that will then lead to a field-based role.

You will receive personalized onboarding, soft-skill, sales, and technical training specific to your field assignments, and participate in a variety of rotations across the business to ensure you have the means necessary to achieve your career goals.
