This role involves conducting one-time evaluations to help manufacturers access the North American market when full certification isn't feasible but proof of compliance with local requirements is necessary.

  1. Conduct technical evaluations of non-certified equipment at manufacturing sites or in the field to ensure compliance with safety standards and technical requirements, mitigating hazards such as fire and shock.
  2. Schedule and conduct inspection appointments professionally, discuss costs, address inquiries, and provide technical guidance within the scope of the Field Evaluation program.
  3. Review technical drawings and provide constructive feedback.
  4. Prepare detailed technical reports with recommended corrective actions for non-compliant equipment and discuss these with clients.
  5. Perform inspections on advanced technology or complex products, making authoritative technical decisions as needed.
  6. Assist in quoting jobs by analyzing technical data and considering logistics.
  7. Demonstrate strong interpersonal, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  8. Evaluate diverse products independently or with a technical team, demonstrating technical proficiency.
  9. Manage multiple inspection files and adapt to dynamic schedules under supervision.
  10. Use calibrated measurement tools, high voltage test equipment, and hand tools proficiently.
  11. Interpret engineering drawings and test data accurately.
  12. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  13. Apply conflict resolution skills to manage challenging situations effectively.
  14. Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of additional European languages like Italian is advantageous.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related sciences with 3 years of industry experience; or an Engineering Technology or Associate's Degree with 5 years of relevant experience; or a Journeyman Electrician with 5 years of experience; or related technical field with over 7 years of experience.

Preferred qualifications include certification or lab testing experience, knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and procedures, familiarity with U.S. and Canadian electrical standards (e.g., NEC, CEC, NFPA 790 & 791, SPE-1000, SPE-3000), and the ability to travel up to 75% as needed.

We offer a balanced approach between personal responsibility and teamwork, insights into one of Europe's most modern test laboratories, a fitness & health program, training opportunities, and permanent employment in a future-proof workplace.
