In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones, or tablets. At the German PCT site, the expertise is mainly in the field of RF generators.
Job Summary: As a Field Applications Engineer (FAE), you will provide technical expertise to support the integration, optimization, and troubleshooting of RF Matching Networks, RF Generators, and related RF subsystems in semiconductor manufacturing. You will work closely with customers, R&D, and field teams to ensure seamless adoption of our products in plasma processing applications.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to integrate RF subsystems to semiconductor manufacturing tools.
- Perform RF system characterization, impedance matching, and power delivery optimization.
- Support pre-sales and post-sales activities, including technical presentations and training.
- Conduct lab testing, data analysis, and troubleshooting to resolve customer issues.
- Work closely with R&D to provide customer feedback for product enhancements.
- Develop technical documentation, applications notes, and training materials.
- Provide on-site and remote customer support as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or related field.
- 2 years+ of experience in RF applications, semiconductor equipment, or related industry.
- Hands-on experience with RF Matching Networks, RF Generators, and impedance matching is a plus.
- Understanding of Smith charts, S-parameters, and RF circuit design is a plus.
- Willingness to travel (domestic & international) as required.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken. German is a plus.
- High customer focus, strong communication skills, team player mentality.
- Structured and independent working style with a hands-on approach.
- Strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and analytical thinking.
