We are looking for a Field Application Engineer to join our European Channel Sales team. This position is home office based, preferably in Germany. We expect close collaboration with all channel partners and their offices across Europe. This role will provide expertise through technical presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products. Frequent travels through Europe will be expected. This role will mainly provide technical support to Allegro’s channel partners and customers based in Central Europe, but also other countries in Europe.

Responsibilities
  1. Responsible contact person for our channel partners for all technical questions.
  2. Support of design reviews, provision of all necessary product information and documentation.
  3. Work in a close collaboration with the Allegro channel sales staff and/or channel partners in assessing potential application of Allegro company products to meet channel customer need.
  4. Prepare detailed product presentations for the development and implementation of channel customer applications/solutions.
  5. Have regular deep technical discussions with Allegro’s channel customers to understand their technical requirements, market trends, application architectures and coordinate technical actions with Allegro’s engineering and marketing team to generate design-wins for Allegro.
  6. Provide pre- and post-sales technical support; working with the channel customer from first idea, through various sample stages until start of production.
  7. Provide follow-up support to Allegro company management and channel customers by disseminating technical information on specific applications.
  8. Channel customer site visits and/or channel partner office visits (QBRs, BDD Business Development Days) to drive design-in opportunities and increase demand.
  9. Participate and support fairs, events, channel partner trainings and/or channel partner events in Europe.
  10. Present in technical seminars and workshops around Allegro’s channel partners.
  11. Understand and represent Allegro’s technologies.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor/master’s degree in electric/electronic engineering for analogue electronics and experience as an FAE in the relevant field.
  2. Ability to conceptualize and materialize solutions and influence technical decision makers.
  3. Excellent understanding of automotive and industrial business environment and requirements.
  4. Strong communication skills by developing credibility and providing high-impact technical presentations.
  5. Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
  6. Willingness to travel across Europe.
  7. Language: German & English is mandatory, Italian and/or French is a plus.
