We are looking for a Field Application Engineer to join our European Channel Sales team. This position is home office based, preferably in Germany. The role requires close collaboration with all channel partners and their offices across Europe. The engineer will provide expertise through technical presentations, product demonstrations, installation, and maintenance of company products. Frequent travel across Europe is expected. The role primarily supports Allegro’s channel partners and customers in Central Europe, but may also involve other European countries.

Responsibilities

1. Serve as the main technical contact for our channel partners, addressing all technical questions.
2. Support design reviews and provide all necessary product information and documentation.
3. Collaborate closely with Allegro’s channel sales staff and partners to assess potential applications of Allegro products to meet customer needs.
4. Prepare detailed product presentations for the development and implementation of channel customer applications and solutions.
5. Engage in deep technical discussions with channel customers to understand their requirements, market trends, and application architectures; coordinate with Allegro’s engineering and marketing teams to generate design wins.
6. Provide pre- and post-sales technical support, guiding customers from initial ideas through sample stages to production start.
7. Follow up with Allegro management and channel customers by disseminating technical information on specific applications.
8. Conduct site visits to customer locations and channel partner offices (e.g., QBRs, BDDs) to promote design-in opportunities and demand generation.
9. Participate in and support fairs, events, training sessions, and partner days across Europe.
10. Present technical seminars and workshops related to Allegro’s technologies.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering with experience as an FAE in the relevant field.
2. Ability to conceptualize solutions and influence technical decision-makers.
3. Strong understanding of the automotive and industrial business environments and their requirements.
4. Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering impactful technical presentations.
5. Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
6. Willingness to travel across Europe.
7. Language skills: German and English are mandatory; Italian and/or French are a plus.
