Field Application Specialist / Stores Project Manager
Crossfunctional role supporting Technical Sales & Project Delivery for Automated Sample Storage
(German & English Required)
How You'll Add Value...
We are seeking a Field Application Specialist / Stores Project Manager to support both technical sales and project implementation for Azenta's automated sample storage systems (SampleArc and BioArc). In this hybrid role, you'll work closely with scientists and researchers to understand their workflows and translate requirements into technical solutions. You'll also manage project execution, aligning internal teams with customer expectations to ensure on-time, successful delivery. This role requires fluency in both German and English.
What You'll Do...
- Support the Automated Storage commercial team in mainland Europe with technical pre-sales activities.
- Gather customer requirements and present tailored solutions covering engineering, software, workflows, and pricing.
- Collaborate with sales to prepare pitches and proposals, including public tenders.
- Translate technical details into clear customer benefits.
- Work closely with internal teams, partners, and suppliers to deliver effective solutions.
- Act as a customer-facing contact for feedback on product features, complaints, and quality issues, coordinating responses with relevant teams.
- Lead execution of Stores projects, managing daily activities and coordinating cross-functional teams and customers.
- Manage project hours and reporting through Microsoft POL and Oracle Cloud.
- Support business unit forecasting with effective resource planning.
- Ensure projects follow stage-gate processes and standards.
- Identify and mitigate risks to meet timelines and maintain high customer satisfaction.
What you will Bring...- Fluency in German and English is mandatory.
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, life science or related discipline; Advanced Degree desirable.
- Experience in engineering, sales application engineering, product management, or project management preferably within the life sciences, healthcare, or medical device industry.
- Experience of Project Management or NPI management experience in capital goods environment is a bonus.
- Experience with visual project management and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated understanding of FDA Quality System Regulation (ISO 13485), EU Medical Device Regulation, GLP, GMP, or GAMP is strongly desired.
