Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

You are a Senior System Engineer experienced in developing complex systems, passionate about advancing eVTOL aviation. With expertise in system architecture, requirements engineering, and verification & validation, especially in flight control systems and pilot controls, you will coordinate across teams to ensure successful certification of the pilot control input system and shape future pilot control methods in eVTOL aircraft.

• Support requirements management at the flight control level, focusing on pilot controls (including functional, safety, regulatory, environmental, human factors, and performance requirements)
• Act as a system-level expert, coordinating with internal teams, flight testing, and certification authorities
• Assist in generating tests (including safety tests), drawings, and design specifications
• Coordinate and manage external suppliers

Qualifications

Check your professional skills:

• Engineering degree (MSc or higher), preferably in aerospace engineering
• At least 6 years of experience in systems engineering for complex systems, ideally in aviation, focusing on flight control systems and pilot controls
• Knowledge of aviation standards and guidelines (DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754A, ARP4761)
• Understanding of certification processes (Part 21) and EASA requirements, ideally SC-VTOL
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
• Experience working in V-Cycle and agile/scrum environments, familiar with tools like Jira, SAFe
• Experience with systems engineering tools (DOORS, SysML, etc.)
• Optional: theoretical knowledge of flight testing, flight physics, or electrical systems
• A structured approach, high reliability, and accountability
