JOB OPENING

  • Location: Army Community Service (ACS), Hohenfels
  • Job Type: Part-Time On-Call (PTOC) = Substitute and replacement personnel for planned and unplanned absences at the IACS administrative office. Personnel should be available on short notice.

Title: FAP Educator

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Social Work, Sociology or Psychology from an accredited college or university.
  • (3) years of experience instructing children and adults in life skills topics. Examples of successful experience are as follows: Instructing children, teens and parents in developing appropriate expectations of each other, relationships and appropriate interactions in an educational setting.
  • (1) year of experience working with victims and perpetrators of domestic violence (spouse & child) and child neglect. At a minimum: One (1) year experience working with individuals that may be reluctant to participate in a self-improvement program (examples: alcoholics, prisoners, welfare recipients in a mandated job-finding class).
  • Fluency in English (speaking, reading and writing). Exhibit the ability to communicate in the English language, with references and/or High School/College Diploma or official transcript.
  • Experience utilizing computer programs necessary for accomplishment of duties (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet and email).
  • Most valuable is one (1) year experience using these programs in a military setting, such as Army Community Service. Second most valuable would be one (1) year of experience using these programs in an office setting. Satisfactory is six (6) months of experience using these programs in an office setting.
  • Experience managing files. Eighteen (18) months managing files in an Army setting is the most valuable, with one (1) year of such experience being the second most valuable. One (1) year of experience managing files in an office setting is satisfactory.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Administrative support Telephone services.
  • Perform a variety of recordkeeping and filing functions Maintain record forms and information.
  • Prepare and manage reports and correspondence Develop databases.
  • Document all necessary data in the ACS Client Tracking System (CTS).
  • Schedule FAP classes Update existing materials.

Please note that this opportunity is limited to individuals located near the place of performance and in Germany, preferably associated with the US Military under SOFA status, and/or Local Nationals.
