Position Details
  • Location: Army Community Service (ACS), Hohenfels
  • Start Date: April 2025
  • Job Type: Part-time (32 hours)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or social science from an accredited college or university
  • Experience instructing children and adults in life skills topics, including working with reluctant participants (e.g., alcoholics, prisoners, welfare recipients)
  • Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, supported by references or educational transcripts
  • Experience with computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet, and email; at least one year in a military or office setting is most valuable
  • Experience managing files, with 18 months in an Army setting being most valuable
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide classes and briefings to service members and their families
  • Develop, schedule, prepare, and instruct classes and briefings
  • Maintain class records, information, and reports
  • Develop lesson plans and update instructional materials
  • Publicize the educator program
  • Perform administrative support, including data entry, tracking, and record keeping
  • Prepare and manage reports and correspondence
Additional Information

This opportunity is limited to individuals located near the place of performance in Germany, preferably associated with the US Military under SOFA status and/or Local Nationals.
