Zusammenfassung

Norfolk County Council is seeking a Family Support Practitioner to join the Family Help team in West Norfolk & Breckland. Base will be Elizabeth House, Dereham, with responsibilities for managing a complex caseload and working with children and families to drive sustained positive change.

The role requires experience with children and families, strong IT skills (Word/Excel/databases), and excellent communication under pressure.

Qualifikationen

  • Experience of working with children and families, ideally in a support or social care setting.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels.
  • High level of resilience, flexibility, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Good IT skills, including Word, Excel and databases.

Aufgaben

  • Manage a complex caseload of Family Support cases, providing high-quality support to children, young people and families.
  • Work collaboratively with the child, their network and other professionals to identify concerns, produce plans and deliver services to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Identify and assess risk, and keep risk under review throughout each case.
  • Prioritise and adapt practice to meet changing family needs and situational demands.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels, including co-operating with agencies, professionals and the wider team.
  • Use IT tools effectively, including Word, Excel and relevant databases.
  • Demonstrate resilience, flexibility and initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, adhering to statutory and organisational procedures.

Family Support Practitioner | 10694 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £34,434 to £36,363 per annum | Grade H | West Norfolk & Breckland

Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Family Practitioner to work in Family Help in West Norfolk & Breckland. Your office base will be at Elizabeth House, Dereham. We are looking for an experienced practitioner who can manage a complex caseload of Family Support cases and work with children and families to enable sustained positive change.
