Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT) is recruiting a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join a supportive, experienced team. The role involves delivering low intensity CBT-based care within a hybrid home/office pattern and contributing to group webinars and service promotion.

You would be based in St Albans or Hemel Hempstead two days a week, with additional travel to other locations as required. A CPD program is available to all staff.

Our staff all work in a hybrid blend of home and office working. We provide the facilities for all staff to work full time in the office, but if you are able to provide yourself with a safe, suitable and confidential workspace at home, you may also work in a blended pattern. Working from home is enabled making extensive use of Microsoft Teams and Outlook. PWPs work alongside High intensity therapists to support a variety of step 3 groups. The PWPs also promote the service in various ways when clinical work allows, and deliver group webinars. A full internal CPD program is on offer to all our staff, which runs throughout the year.

• Significant experience of working with people with mental health difficulties in a healthcare setting

• Able to work on site in St Albans or Hemel Hempstead at least two days a week and access other areas of Hertfordshire on occasion.

Where Would I Be Based?

You would be based in St Albans or Hemel Hempstead and would be part of a very well established, experienced and supportive team. This post is a hybrid-working role and there would be an expectation for the post holder to attend the office for a minimum of two days a week and deliver 10% of clinical contacts outside the normal 9-5 hours.

• Talking Therapies (previously IAPT) Graduate OR Post Graduate Certificate in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Interventions
• PWP registration with BABCP or BPS OR must be eligible and willing to apply, Evidence of working with people who have experienced a mental health problem
• Ability to meet agreed/specified service targets
• Experience of working in Primary Care Services
• Worked in a service where agreed targets in place demonstrating clinical outcomes
• Ability to manage own caseload and time
• Demonstrates high standards of written communication
• Demonstrates an understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in Primary Care
• Demonstrates a knowledge of the issues surrounding work and the impact it can have on mental health
• Experience of representing psychology within the context of multi-disciplinary care
• Knowledge of medication used in anxiety and depression and other common mental health problems, Advanced communication skills
• Ability to work within a team and foster good working relationships
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including telephone skills
• Computer literate, Ability to use clinical supervision and personal development positively and effectively
• Ability to evaluate and put in place the effect of training
• Ability to assess common mental health problems
• Demonstrates an understanding for the need to use evidence based psychological therapies and how it relates to this post, Regard for others and, respect for individual rights of autonomy and confidentiality, Car driver with ability and willingness to travel to locations throughout the organisation
• Computer skills for entering clinical notes on electronic patient record
• Requirement to carry laptop/files between office base and remote working in line with all relevant HPFT policies
