Position: Family Advocacy Program (FAP) Victim Advocate

Location: USAG Grafenwoehr/Vilseck

Start date: June 1, 2025

Job Type: Full Time

Overview:

Victim Advocates will provide victim advocacy services and Emergency Placement Care (EPC) coordination to support domestic violence prevention and education under the Army Family Advocacy Program, including 24/7 victim response and EPC coordination. This program operates through Army Community Services (ACS).

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related fields; Victim Advocacy certification preferred.
  • Minimum two years experience supporting victims of domestic abuse, including crisis intervention, safety assessment, legal rights, and resource navigation.
  • At least one year experience working with military Family Support Centers or civilian social service agencies serving military families.
  • Knowledge of family violence dynamics, safety planning, risk assessments, and relevant laws.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, develop trust, and work with diverse populations.
  • Ability to intervene in crises, develop safety plans, and operate within established guidelines.
  • Valid driver’s license and transportation required.
  • Computer literacy for documentation and reporting.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide 24/7 on-call victim advocacy, including immediate response within 20 minutes.
  • Assess risks, develop safety plans, and facilitate access to support services.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and data management.
  • Develop and update informational resources for victims in English and Spanish.
  • Conduct training sessions for military personnel, families, and community partners.
  • Coordinate EPC placements for families in crisis, 24/7 availability.
  • Complete client satisfaction surveys and program evaluations.
