Job Title: Family Advocacy Assistant

Place of Performance: Building 322 ACS Rose Barracks, Vilseck, Germany

Schedule: Full Time - Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm

Basic Services:

The Employee shall perform functions within the scope of this PWS for forty (40) hours per week. The Employee shall provide instructions/services and administrative services within the ACS FAP Program.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or Sociology from an accredited university. Experience in teaching adults or kids.

Tasks:

The Employee shall provide briefings/classes, including (but not limited to):

  • Family Advocacy Program Overview Briefing — 120 sessions, weekly at the In-processing Training Center (ITC), for incoming troops and Family Members.
  • Family Advocacy Program Unit Troop Brief — 86 sessions annually, covering child abuse and domestic violence prevention, accessed from ACS by units or community groups.
  • Community Outreach — 30 sessions, including informational tables and attending community events.
  • Baby Bootcamp — 12 sessions, 7-hour course for expectant parents, including setup and coordination.
  • Marriage Enrichment Education Group — 12 sessions, 2-hour classes to facilitate learning and discussion for couples.
  • Parent-Child Education Group — 120 sessions, 1.5 hours each, focusing on parenting strategies through play and engagement, with coordination of community resources.

All activities aim to support families and community integration, with responsibilities including planning, facilitating, and coordinating resources.
