Factory Supply Chain Manager
As the Factory Supply Chain Manager, you are the primary responsible for strategic sourcing activities in the factory in Brilon. You regularly review the demand and supply balance to anticipate changes.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing Activities: Support and implement the HUB sourcing strategy in the factory. Manage local or HUB allocated other direct spend. Translate local requirements into Service Level Agreements with suppliers.
- Bidding and Order Execution: Control material prices and terms & conditions throughout the value chain (from tender, ERP master data, and overseeing invoice control rules). Measure gaps between tender and actuals jointly with Controlling, investigate root causes, and take corrective/preventive measures. Improve tender material costing and run tender-specific negotiations where applicable. Lead SCM activities related to the order process to ensure availability and cost optimization.
- Factory Processes: Engage in providing input on critical material definition phase and material supply capabilities during the SEOP cycle. Lead/support the commodity hedging process in line with the factory Controller. Act promptly on issues escalated according to the escalation matrix. Own factory cost savings, cost avoidance, claim recovery reporting, and SCM performance tracking according to PG/BU requirements.
- Supplier Management: Qualify all local assigned contractors according to procedures and regulations. Lead company qualification for unclassified or assigned spend. Conduct Supplier Performance Evaluations (SPE) for identified suppliers. Act as a 2nd level supplier performance improvement owner in collaboration with the quality function and HUB Category Manager / SQE. Recommend improvement measures and address performance hot spots. Lead claim management with suppliers to maximize compensation and escalate as necessary. Act as second-level escalation owner on PO Management and Delivery to Pay processes.
- Projects: Initiate, promote, and support the implementation of material cost-cutting and risk mitigation projects using the SCM Gate Model process. Execute SCM-related activities for R&D, DTV, New Product Introduction, and product cost improvement projects.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or relevant experience.
- Very good command of written and spoken English.
- Strong communicative and collaborative skills.
- Knowledge of MRP systems (SAP) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working in matrix organizations (hierarchical and functional reporting).
- Proficiency in MS tools – Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI, etc.
- Compliance and ethics oriented.
