About The Role
The Fab IT Manager at Nexperia will oversee the IT operations within the manufacturing facility, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of IT systems that support manufacturing processes. This role is critical in managing the IT applications and services that enable seamless production operations. The position reports directly to the Site IT Manager.
This is your new job
- Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of IT systems critical to fab manufacturing processes (e.g., MES, SPC, APC, SECS/GEM interfaces, Plant Maintenance).
- Manage and coordinate factory IT projects including upgrades, migrations, new tool integration, and system improvements.
- Monitor and analyze system performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Develop and implement IT standards, procedures, and documentation to support fab operations and industry compliance (e.g., ISO, VDA, or SEMI standards).
- Lead and manage a team of IT professionals responsible for supporting factory IT operations
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for factory IT systems
- Drive digital innovation and automation initiatives, including the use of AI/ML for predictive maintenance, yield optimization, and smart factory solutions including interfacing with robotics
- Ensure cybersecurity best practices are enforced across all fab-connected systems.
- Oversee vendor relationships, service contracts, and IT support staff or contractors on-site, including a dedicated Factory Systems Support team (CIM), OT Engineers, Data Engineers and Web Developers
- Provide leadership in incident management and root cause analysis for system-related issues, while also ensuring effective change control procedures for all change introduced to the factory (ITIL)
- Management of on call cover, to make sure the 27/4 operations are fully supported
This is you
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in IT management, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, including servers, networks, storage, and manufacturing systems
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance measurement tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of compliance standards and regulations related to manufacturing IT operations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with manufacturing and engineering teams
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality IT services
- Ability to adapt to changing technology and business needs
