Qualifikationen

Jobbeschreibung

The F-16 Aircraft Mechanic III is responsible for aircraft recovery, parking, safing, and preparing for depot induction and delivery. This role includes safe towing operations, post-flight and preflight inspections, refueling, engine runs, launch, recovery operations, and assisting team members with structural and avionic/electrical modifications, upgrades, and repairs. The mechanic performs aircraft maintenance such as servicing, repair, inspection, and provides technical and logistical support.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Reading and adhering to technical orders, manuals, blueprints, and service bulletins.
  2. Performing maintenance tasks specific to F-16 aircraft, including special certifications, engine runs, servicing, and towing, in accordance with technical orders.
  3. Completing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, parts ordering, and other aircraft functions.
  4. Carrying out routine duties such as servicing hydraulics, engine oil, lubrication, fuel, canopy cleaning, wheel/tire replacement, brakes, and light bulbs.
  5. Troubleshooting and repairing aircraft structures and components.
  6. Performing flight control and component rigging and calibration.
  7. Servicing aircraft as per F-16 Technical Orders.
  8. Assessing airworthiness of aircraft and components.
  9. Interacting with Maintenance Operation Center, customers, and program representatives regarding aircraft status.
  10. Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for success:

  1. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  2. Relevant experience based on educational background: Bachelor's degree + 3 years, Associate's degree + 4 years, or High School Diploma + 8 years in aircraft maintenance.
  3. F-16 experience preferred; other fighter jet experience may be considered.
  4. Experience working from blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and manuals.
