What you can expect:
- Act as Manager Export Control in the Defense division, advising regional Sales and Customer Success teams.
- Coordinate with DEUTZ AG's Export Control department, Legal, Compliance, R&D, and Supply Chain Management.
- Stay informed on sanctions, trade embargoes, and regulations; provide guidance on adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with export control laws, including BAFA, U.S. ITAR & EAR, EU regulations, and international law.
- Review export transactions for legality, coordinate with authorities, and manage documentation and approvals.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Identify training needs; organize and conduct export control training sessions, focusing on Defense.
- Support the implementation of internal policies and guidelines; serve as the main contact for external audits.
- Ensure understanding and adherence to the company's Code of Conduct regarding international trade.
- Advise on localization, production requirements, and regional market entry strategies.
- Manage applications and renewals for export licenses, TAAs, and end-user certificates.
- Communicate with export control authorities as per organizational policies.
- Provide guidance on technology transfer and dual-use regulations.
What sets you apart:
- Degree in Business Law, Business Administration, International Law, International Trade, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
- Several years of experience in export control, compliance, customs, or international trade law, preferably in defense.
- High discretion, responsibility, and excellent communication skills.
- Experience with licensing procedures and authority interactions.
- Business-fluent German and English skills.
- Proficiency with IT systems like SAP GTS and compliance software.
- Certification in export control or customs is desirable.
