Working within METRO's Group strategy team, you will play an integral role in shaping the future potential and competitiveness of our company. We are seeking analytical minds and deep thinkers who want to create an impact by not only conceptualizing and advising but also supporting the operational implementation of strategies.

Our strategy team has developed the sCore Group Strategy, appreciated by our shareholders. We have designed processes to cascade this strategy into local strategies and closely support countries in their transformation initiatives to realize the sCore strategy. We collaborate with countries, central functions, and service companies to ensure successful strategy execution. We are also at the forefront of identifying new innovative business opportunities and models.

Your tasks :

1. Strategy : Contribute to the successful execution of the sCore strategy as part of METRO's global strategy team.
2. Projects : Work on top-priority projects, conduct analyses, and develop quantitative and qualitative tools to support decision-making.
3. Expertise : Gather, analyze, and summarize market and competitive intelligence using third-party research, industry data, and internal data.
4. Knowledge : Maintain an ongoing understanding of market trends, competition, products, and macro-environmental considerations.
5. Presentation : Professionally present findings to stakeholders, including senior decision-makers internally and externally.

Your profile :

1. Mindset : Smart, sharp, capable of synthesizing large volumes of information into concise insights, and proposing solutions.
2. Experience : At least 3 years of professional experience, ideally in the global food wholesale/retail industry or relevant segments like FMCG, with a relevant university degree. Consulting or corporate strategy experience is advantageous.
3. General skills : Effective data mining, analysis, developing business plans, problem-solving, and creative thinking. Proficiency in data presentation, verbal and visual, in both German and English.
4. Digital skills : Advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills are required.
5. Personality : Strong intellect, ownership mentality, relationship-building skills, ability to work under pressure, and enjoyment of working in an international environment.
