Zusammenfassung

Exyte is seeking an Expert Project Subcontracting - Mechanical to lead the tendering, negotiation, and administration of complex multi-million euro subcontracts across large-scale projects in Stuttgart and beyond.

You will manage commercial assessments, contract execution, and performance monitoring, while collaborating with project teams and suppliers to mitigate risks and optimize outcomes. Fluent German and English are essential, with willingness to travel as required.

Qualifikationen

• Completed technical education or degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
• Several years’ experience in project management in large-scale projects, preferably in the construction or plant engineering industry.
• Solid knowledge in relevant mechanical discipline, e.g. HVAC and waste water.
• Understanding of project execution models (EPC, EPCM, etc.) is an advantage.
• Very good IT skills, particularly MS Office and ERP systems (ideally SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, RIB iTWO).
• Knowledge of handling contracts in accordance with VOB, BGB or HOAI is a plus.
• Fluent German language skills and good written and spoken English skills.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel nationally, with on-site work depending on the project phase.
• Excellent communication skills and resilience under pressure.
• Decisiveness, openness to change, strong interpersonal skills, and a solution-oriented working style.

• Commercial evaluation of subcontractor bids and preparation of well-founded award recommendations.
• Negotiation and execution of contracts.
• Commercial management of subcontracts.
• Monitoring and performance tracking of subcontractors.
• Identification of risks and performance deviations through proactive planning and close stakeholder communication.
• Review, evaluation, and management of change orders and claims.
• Close collaboration with the Project Management team and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Continuous process optimization through regular feedback and the implementation of lessons learned.
• Regular reporting to the Project Procurement Manager.
