DHL Express is seeking for a Expert Network Routing & Capacity Analyst EU (f/m/d) based in Leipzig to be a part of our global network as a member of the Network Operations Management Team, could this be you?
• Provide analytical support to the Regional Routing & Capacity Manager by supplying operational analysis in response to service requirements, volume growth, shifts in product mix and specific business requirements on both a strategic and tactical level.
• Maximise capacity utilisation within the EU TD network by analysing shipment routings and container splits
• Analyse & communicate the successful implementation of all network changes
• Support NCG in contingency operations planning and implementation in response to abnormal events (strikes, weather problems etc.) effecting standard network operations
• Responsible for the communication of all shipment routing requirements in contingency situations
• Assist Network Planning with proposed changes on the European and Intercontinental Network
• Conduct collaborative Forecasting and provide BSA/AGA and Flex allocations for ACS via the SCM system
• Analyse Planned air and road schedule requirements including holiday variations, and communication of these plans to NCG
• Central contact point within Network EU to advise on the issues and implications concerning changes to the intercontinental network flows
• Responsible for the maintenance of the MRC (Management of routing changes) procedures, and ensuring that all routing changes are issued by way of NRU’s, distributed by NPE and the regional routing coordinators
• University educated or extensive knowledge of DHL’s European Line-haul Network
• 2-3 years DHL experience desirable.
• Transport or logistics experience desirable
• Expert MS Excel and/or MS Access database skills
• SQL Database or Advanced VBA Excel skills highly desirable
• Fluent in written and spoken English. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage
• Good all round communicator with written, oral and presentation skills at a high level
• PC literate – data interpretation & analytical skills essential
• High Degree of numeracy necessary
