You support our team as

• Act as the Freudenberg Group's subject matter expert in generative AI and physics-informed machine learning for materials formulation, discovery, and process design.
• Develop and apply advanced data-driven and physics-based models to accelerate innovation in sustainable materials and next-generation mobility solutions.
• Independently propose, lead, and defend project concepts in close collaboration with Freudenberg's Business Groups.
• Design and support experimental campaigns for model development, validation, and deployment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across internal departments and external partners to deliver high-impact business solutions.
• Communicate findings effectively through reports and presentations tailored to diverse audiences, including executive leadership.
• PhD or equivalent qualification in materials science, chemistry, physics, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in computational materials design, either in industry or academia.
• Strong background in materials informatics, cheminformatics, generative AI, and machine learning for atomistic simulations.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Julia, or C/C++, and familiarity with databases and cloud platforms (e.g., SQL, MongoDB, Flask, Azure).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of quantum computing is a plus.
• International mindset and willingness to travel are advantageous.
