For our Food segment, we are currently looking for an Expert Global Procurement Food (m/f/d) to elevate our assortment and drive business growth. You will be part of a department that combines Global Sourcing with Business Development, focusing on a holistic procurement approach. Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing international market trends, aligning with sourcing teams across countries, and deriving innovative business solutions.
- Developing, negotiating, and implementing the Global Own Brand Range across 22 countries.
- Coordinating cross-functional teams (Packaging, Quality, Supply Chain, Marketing) through the Own Brand process.
- Harmonizing product ranges with country subsidiaries to leverage scale.
- Monitoring supplier production capacity, coverage rate, and e-sourcing status, and reporting data such as prices, volumes, and contracts.
- Negotiating global service contracts with strategic suppliers to ensure incremental investments supporting joint business growth.
- Driving the implementation of agreed services aligned with country value creation plans.
- Analyzing RFQ inputs from suppliers to negotiate optimal quality and price ratios.
- Conducting performance review meetings with strategic suppliers.
- Reviewing key performance indicators and ensuring accurate reporting.
Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in international food commodities or FMCG purchasing.
- Strong interest and understanding of food product development and HoReCa customer needs.
- Proven negotiation skills in category management and condition-based supplier negotiations on local and international levels.
- Leadership qualities and ability to influence diverse stakeholders without direct authority.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent communication skills and enjoyment working with stakeholders.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Willingness to travel (trade fairs, factory visits, country visits).
- Fluent in English.
