Qualifikationen

Job Description:

Experienced System Safety Engineer (d/f/m)

who will ensure that Airbus products are developed, designed, produced and supported according to the state-of-art and the relevant safety standards (associated to airworthiness regulations). Safety of the vehicle is maintained throughout its whole lifecycle, considering Human Factors and operation.

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct autonomously ensuring adequate level of quality the main Safety assessments (Functional Hazard Assessment/System Safety Assessment/Particular Risk Analysis/Zonal Safety Analysis/Common Mode Analysis) activities for military aircraft and systems, supporting the phases until certification.

  • Lead and conduct autonomously Risk Analyses ensuring adequate level of quality, according to the applicable guidance and standards, which are required to support the continuous aircraft development (including Permit to Fly/Type Certificate)

  • Lead, manage and generate autonomously safety requirements, safety evidences (tests, simulation, analyses), Safety Procedures and Limitations, interface with other technical domains (processes, maintenance, human factors, aircraft performance and quality, etc.)

  • Ensure influence on aircraft/systems architecture development according to the required Safety/Integrity

  • Act as main interface for safety related topics at all the required levels with internal and external stake holders (Chief Engineering, Project Management, Design Teams, Airworthiness Authorities, Industrial Partners, Customers, Suppliers)

  • Continuous improvement of analyses tool environment and processes

  • Support to quotations and planning activities

  • Support and mentoring of new Safety Engineers

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Master’s degree of Aerospace Engineering, Physical Science or similar discipline

  • several years of working expierience in the safety environment or similar area

  • Comprehensive System Safety Assessment experienc, with Safety Tools/Methods, e.g. Isograph FaultTree+, is presumed

  • Knowledge/understanding of Aircraft systems, preferential for Combat Aircraft and System Engineering Processes

  • Remarkable problem solving capabilities

  • Advanced skills with MS Office is presumed

  • Good communication skills and strong problem solving capability are desirable

  • Very good English language skills, German language is desirable

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
