A warm and welcoming family is seeking a bilingual nanny to join them around mid-September to support their two children, aged 11 and 5. The ideal candidate will be fluent in German or English—this is essential, though additional language skills are welcome. The family is open to either a live-in or live-out arrangement. Should the nanny live in, they will enjoy a private bedroom and bathroom, along with access to a shared kitchen, living space, and garden. For live-out candidates, the role can be structured as either full-time or part-time, with a focus on afternoon through evening hours.
The position offers flexibility in scheduling. A live-in nanny would typically work around 40 hours per week, primarily supporting the family during morning routines and afternoon school and kindergarten pick-ups, with occasional evening or dinner care. Overnight stays may occasionally be requested once the nanny is fully settled and confident in the role, and these would be compensated separately.
Experience with neurodivergent children is a key requirement, as the family's eldest child has ADHD and flourishes in a stable, well-structured environment. The family is seeking someone patient, understanding, and consistent who can help maintain routine and provide nurturing, calm support. Creativity and a love for imaginative or hands-on play are equally important, particularly for their younger child. A low-screen, high-engagement approach is very much valued in their home.
A driving licence is essential for this role, and the family will provide access to a car for all work-related use.
The family does not micro-manage and are happy for the nanny to take the children out to different activities.
