Executive Search - Director Radio & Backhaul Engineering

The person responsible for the "how" (planning, selection, guidelines, measurement, optimization) and will manage 80% of the CTO budget. This individual reports directly to the CTO and leads a team of approximately 100 persons.

His/her responsibilities are outlined below.

Professional requirements

• Business Leader – a smart & analytical person capable of anticipating future (5G) network usage and needs.
• Define innovation strategy and plan related actions, understanding current and predicting future usage patterns across relevant industries (in close cooperation with HQ).
• Select and introduce technologies for Radio Access & Transport Backhaul networks, ensuring the use of state-of-the-art technologies efficiently.
• Strategic planning for Radio Access Networks and transport mobile Backhaul.
• Decide on the selection of service providers and suppliers for implementation and rollout services, ensuring optimal decisions for rollout efficiency within budget and strategic priorities.
• Oversee technology rollout for Radio Access & Transport Network and establish quality systems to ensure timely, within-budget, and quality rollout (actual rollout management is handled by the "Regional Deployment" department).
• Design and ensure network optimization and performance improvements to enhance customer experience.
• Manage and steer the implementation services budget (~550m€ CAPEX) and OPEX to maximize the outcomes of economic resources.
• Collaborate closely with department heads, including:
• a) Regional Deployment
• b) Operations & Quality
• c) Engineering Core & Services
• d) Network Economics & Transport
