Role Overview

The Event Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and executing tradeshows, webinars/virtual events, customer events, and other event types as determined by the business. The role involves project management and driving results through subject matter expertise.

This position is part of a high-energy, fast-moving events team. It involves identifying, planning, and implementing various physical and digital event programs, including tradeshows, customer/partner events, product launches, thought leadership and technical sessions, media/analyst briefings, and Cytiva’s own conferences, to meet business objectives. Strong skills in tradeshow/event/meeting planning, project management, execution, budgeting, and lead tracking are required.

This role reports to the Global Events Leader within the Marketing Communications organization and is remote, covering multiple global regions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Responsible and accountable for the entire event lifecycle: planning, implementation, follow-up, and debriefing.
2. Event contracting
3. Event/project planning and management
4. On-site event execution
5. Analyzing and acting on event data
6. Ensuring compliance and managing finance processes (IPP, OnePIA, PO submissions, vendor setup, etc.)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
• Experience managing tradeshows and events
• Detail-oriented, meticulous, and able to work autonomously
• Creative problem-solving skills with multi-tasking ability
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Travel & Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel internationally (15-35%)
• Ability to lift and move 40 lb boxes
• Sufficient mobility for extended travel

Preferred Experience

• Experience with inventory management software such as Exhibitforce.com
• Understanding of life sciences, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries
