Role Overview

The Event Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and executing tradeshows, webinars/virtual events, customer events, and other event types as determined by the business. The Event Manager drives results through project management and subject matter expertise.

This role is part of a high-energy, fast-moving events team. Responsibilities include identifying, planning, and implementing various physical and digital event programs, such as tradeshows, customer/partner events, product launches, thought leadership sessions, media/analyst briefings, and Cytiva’s own conferences to meet business objectives. Strong skills in tradeshow/event planning, project management, budgeting, and lead tracking are required.

This position reports to the Global Events Leader within the Marketing Communications organization and works remotely across multiple global regions.

What You Will Do

• Manage the entire event lifecycle: planning, implementation, and follow-up/debrief
• Handle event contracting and project management
• Analyze and act on event data
• Ensure compliance with finance and process requirements (IPP, OnePIA, PO submissions, vendor setup, etc.)

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
• Experience managing tradeshows and events
• Detail-oriented, meticulous, and able to work independently
• Creative problem-solver with multi-tasking abilities and meeting deadlines
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Travel & Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel internationally 15-35%
• Ability to lift and move 40 lb. boxes
• Sufficient mobility for extended travel

Preferred Experience

• Experience with inventory management software such as Exhibitforce.com
• Understanding of life sciences, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries
