The Event Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and executing tradeshows, webinars/virtual events, customer events, and other event types as determined by the business. The Event Manager drives results through project management and subject matter expertise.

This role is part of a high-energy, fast-moving events team—responsible for identifying, planning, and implementing a variety of physical and digital event programs, including tradeshows, customer/partner events, product launches, thought leadership and technical sessions, media/analyst briefings, and Cytiva’s own conferences, to meet business objectives. The position requires strong skills in tradeshow/event/meeting planning, project management, execution, budgeting, and lead tracking.

This position reports to the Global Events Leader and is part of the Marketing Communications organization within Global Group Marketing. It is a remote role covering multiple global regions.

What you will do:

• Manage the entire event lifecycle, including planning, implementation, and follow-up/debrief, covering:
• Event contracting
• Event/project planning and management
• On-site event execution
• Analyzing and acting on event data
• Compliance and finance processes (IPP, OnePIA, PO submissions, vendor setup, etc.)

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
• Experience managing tradeshows and events
• Passionate about detail, meticulous, and able to work autonomously
• Creative problem-solver with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills as a team player and leader

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environmental Requirements:

• Ability to travel internationally 15-35%
• Ability to lift and move 40 lb. boxes
• Sufficient mobility for an extended travel schedule

Preferred experience:

• Experience with inventory management software such as Exhibitforce.com
• Understanding of life sciences, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries
