The focus markets/applications include: Europe for energy stability with synchronous condensers, Geothermal Projects (using ORC and STG), LDES (Long Duration Energy Storage), and CHP projects. You will also develop global expertise in Integrated Energy.
As a team member, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Sales team while collaborating cross-functionally with product line leadership, engineering, and the commercial team in prospecting efforts: acquiring new clients and markets, supporting, and implementing the go-to-market strategy for new product development, focusing sales on relevant geographies, applications, and key stakeholders.
- Promoting and developing the value proposition for proposed solutions, including competition assessment—listening to customer needs and designing technical solutions and business value propositions for Baker Hughes technology.
- Engaging early in project development to generate demand and increase market penetration for Baker Hughes solutions.
- Aligning capabilities with specific outcomes, creating reference architectures, and calculating potential solution value.
- Assessing application of technology for industry processes; customizing technology and influencing customer process modifications to promote product adoption.
- Handling complex products and systems requiring technical knowledge and understanding of the operational environment, including technical analysis and system design tailored to client conditions.
- Building a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities, participating in project screening, and applying prioritization strategies using scoring tools or matrices.
- Verifying technical feasibility and resource availability for each opportunity.
- Supporting the development of new business models, consortia, and strategic partnerships.
- Managing complex stakeholder interactions involving technical, economic, logistical, and financial considerations to optimize project solutions.
- Coordinating and influencing teams across engineering, legal, risk, and finance departments.
- Developing and executing thought leadership strategies to enhance Baker Hughes' visibility and reputation as a partner of choice.
- Participating in industry fairs and events.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in integrated energy solutions, geothermal ORC/STG, combined cycle GT plants, cogeneration plants (CHP), LDES, etc.
- Strong capabilities in turbomachinery equipment such as centrifugal and axial compressors, gas turbines, steam turbines, and turboexpanders, with a solution-oriented approach integrating all necessary equipment in energy solutions.
- Experience with utilities, IPPs, and the energy market.
- Background in project engineering and development related to power generation, geothermal, microgrids.
- Knowledge of thermal engineering software like Thermoflow and GTPro is advantageous.
- Experience in business case assessment or pre-feasibility studies.
- Understanding of project economics including CAPEX, OPEX, and LCOE.
- Business acumen and a proactive approach to generating demand and addressing client needs.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- Leadership skills to lead teams in a matrix environment.
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills.
- Motivated self-starter with initiative and problem-solving skills.
