Job summary

Caterpillar Engines Kiel GmbH is seeking a Quality Inspector at our Kiel site. You will inspect and measure engine components in assembly or incoming goods and document results to ensure quality standards. The role requires reading technical drawings and German language proficiency.

A completed technical vocational training and willingness to work a rolling 3-shift pattern are essential. Basic English is expected, and crane/forklift certification can be pursued.

Qualifications

• Completed technical vocational training in a technical field such as industrial mechanic, machining technician or mechatronics technician.
• Ability to read technical drawings confidently.
• Very good German language; basic English.
• Quality assurance experience is desirable.

We are looking for a Quality Inspector(m/f/d) to join our team at our Kiel site as soon as possible.

Responsibilities and requirements

• Inspect and measure engine components in assembly or incoming goods inspection
• Check dimensions, surface condition, documentation and overall component condition
• Document inspection results and prepare Stop-to-Fix reports for deviations
• Completed technical vocational training, e.g. industrial mechanic, machining technician, mechatronics technician or comparable qualification
• Ability to read technical drawings confidently
• Quality assurance experience is desirable
• Very good German and basic English
• MS Office skills
• Willingness to work shifts and to obtain crane/forklift certification
• (Shift pattern: the role is shift-based; it will be a rolling 3-shift model, at the moment we are working in 2 shifts (early/late))
